Review at end of page

"Love? Means more than Life to me"- Mimi.

"Love? Treat 'em mean, keep 'em keen"-Musetta.

But Death? Death changes everything .

Puccini's heart-stopping La Boheme is sung by Young Australian Opera singers. Mimi, Rodolfo, Musetta and Marcello romp through their
lives in 19th Century Paris with Love, Passion, and Hilarity amid poverty.
Award-winning Newcastle Festival Opera's new production is directed by Australian Opera star Ghillian Sullivan.

The production will feature leading singers such as:

  • Sarah Sullivan - Mimi  (winner of the Covent Garden Scholarship)

  • Douglas McRae - Marcello (Queensland based Baritone)

  • Martin Buckingham - Rodolfo (Opera Australia -  Helpmann Opera Scholarship)

  • Kim Dover - Musetta (Newcastle Festival Opera)

  • Joshua Salter - Schaunard (Newcastle Festival Opera)

  • Kelly Maybury - Colline (Newcastle Festival Opera)
